Ghibli Museum Tickets on Online Auctions

To the dismay of Ghibli Museum officials, admission tickets to the museum have appeared on Japanese Yahoo online auction pages. The museum has petitioned to have the auctions removed, but Yahoo has refused the request on the basis that the auctions are not breaking any auction rules. The museum accepts no more than 2,400 visitors a day and ticket must be purchased in advance at local convenience stores. Admission is currently sold out till the end of 2001. An adult ticket retails at 1,000 yen, but tickets available on online auctions have sold for ten times that amount.
