Ghost Hunt Live Action Movie Announced

Twins Japan and Kadokawa Shoten have announced their joint development of a live-action feature film based on Fuyumi Ono’s 1989–1994 supernatural mystery novel series. The popular novel series was revived in 1998 as a currently ongoing manga series by Shiho Inada. A 25-episode anime TV series based on the novel/manga series aired in 2006. Yoshitaka Yamaguchi, director of the current Neko Zamurai television series, will helm the feature adaptation starring Maya Fukuzawa (Good Luck!!, Mr. Brain), Mizuki Yamamoto (Kuroshitsuji, Danchi Kokosei no Nichijou), and Yosuke Kawamura (Liar Game: Reborn, Rookies). The movie is scheduled to begin shooting next month for a spring 2014 release.
