GKids Acquires Kokuriko-Zaka Kara

New York City based children’s film theatrical distributor GKids has confirmed its acquisition of domestic distribution rights to Studio Ghibli’s 2011 feature film From Up On Poppy Hill (Kokuriko-Zaka Kara). GKids currently has domestic theatrical distribution rights to 14 Studio Ghibli films including Kokuriko-Zaka Kara but does not presently distribute home video. GKids will begin limited theatrical screenings of the film in America next March.
