Going to Glass City

Toledo, Ohio’s annual Glass City Con has invited me to return this year as a guest presenter. This year I’ll be hosting four audio-visual lecture panels:

• Defining the golden age of anime
• Identifying commonly overlooked examples of Japanese culture within anime
• Presenting samples of recent advertising & promotional anime shorts
• Presenting a selection of anime based on unique and unusual ideas (including but far from limited to yo-yo competition anime, karaoke battle anime, horse racing anime, and even an anime about poop fairies)

I expect to also sit in on other panel presentations both as a presenter and as an attendee, and also possibly host some anime trivia. If you’re in the area, swing on by to say “Hi” and enjoy the convention.
