Gonzo to Downsize
|Gonzo Digimation Holdings (GDH) has formally announced plans to consolidate its anime production subsidiary, Gonzo. The plans call for Gonzo to halve its anime productions for the next fiscal year, from about eight productions to four; combine its four Japanese studios into a single division; reduce its representative director’s salary by 50%; eliminate two board of director positions; and eliminate 8 executive and managerial positions. The cuts are expected to save as much as 270 million yen ($2.7 million dollars).
GDH was financially acquired earlier this year by Japanese investment company Iwakaze Capital.

It took them long enough… with GONZO under new management, I guess it was a matter of time.
