Anime on DVD has learned that the 13 episode Gundam 08th MS Team OAV series will premier on DVD in the US in mid to late 2001, “and the others are towards the end of the year.” Presumably this means that Bandai will be releasing DVD versions of the 0080 and 0083 OAV series around the end of 2001. Although the original three Gundam movies have been released on DVD in Japan, with optional English subtitles, According to Anime on DVD, the films will not be released on DVD in America, possibly to make way for an American DVD release of the original TV series instead.

And contrary to unconfirmed rumors posted on various anime news sites around the net that claim Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz will be released in a staggered schedule throughout 2001, all of the information provided directly by Pioneer and Bandai continues to confirm that the dub VHS version and special edition DVD of Endless Waltz will both be released on February 6th. Furthermore, contrary to unconfirmed reports posted elsewhere on the net, there will be only 1 uncut dub VHS release of Endless Waltz, not a “Toonami friendly” and different “uncut version.”
