Guskou Budori Teaser Released

The first teaser trailer for Tezuka Pro’s Guskou Budori no Denki (The Life of Guskou Budori) anime film is now online. Anime studio Group TAC began development of the adaptation of author Kenji Miyazawa’s 1932 fairy tale in 2008. Tezuka Productions took over development of the film in 2011 after Group TAC went out of business. The story revolves around a young man who loses his parents & sister during an especially harsh winter. The young man mature and joins a group of scientists dedicated to researching the disastrous winter conditions. Gisaburo Sugii, who directed the 1985 anime film Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru (Night on the Galactic Railroad), also based on a Kenji Miyazawa novel, is directing the Guskou Budori movie for a July 7 Japanese release.
