Hamachi Anime Announced

Japanese publisher Shogakukan has formally announced the development of an anime TV series based on Wataru Watari’s romantic comedy light novel series Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected). The stylistic cousin to Yomi Hirasaka’s light novel series Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai tells the story of an isolated teen boy who suddenly finds himself with an abundance of friends. Hirasaka has publicly praised Watari’s novel series. According to original author Wataru Watari, the title “Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru” may be abbreviated as either “OreGal” or “Hamachi.”
