As of today, the web is absolutely filled with reports (examples one, two, and three) that Chernin Group has successfully acquired a controlling ownership of Crunchyroll. Yet all of these reports appear to be based on the original article from All Things D that only claims that Chernin Group is in negotiations to purchase a controlling stake of Crunchyroll. “Negotiating for” and “done deal” are very different things.
