The Anime Prime No Editing Zone has learned of major editing and censoring in two upcoming and forthcoming adult anime releases. According to Anime Prime, the Media Blasters release of Kara no Nakano Kotori, which MB titled “The Maiden Series,” skipped over the second of five episodes for the American release, the episode starring the “youngest looking woman.”

Central Park Media has confirmed, through the Anime on DVD Forum, that the American home video release of Night Shift Nurses episodes 1-3 (of 4) will be missing approximately 20 minutes of footage. Episode 4 was not yet complete in Japan at the time CPM licensed the series, so CPM licensed only episodes 1-3. The series includes graphic and extreme scatological sequences that are actually illegal in at least 3 major American cities/markets. CPM is reportedly very regretful of the heavy censoring, but cannot avoid it.
