Higanjima Sequel Movie Announced

Kodansha has announced that Koji Matsumoto’s current Higanjima: Saigo no 47 Himei horror-action manga will be getting a feature film adaptation. The announcement doesn’t specify whether the adaptation will be anime or live action. Matsumoto’s original Higanjima manga was adapted into a live-action feature film in 2010. The “Saigo no 47 Himei” (“Final 47 Days”) sequel revolves around original series hero Akira Miyamoto continuing his battle against the vampires who have threatened to invade the main island of Japan in 47 days.
