Hobby Japan to Expand into America
|Japanese publisher Hobby Japan has announced plans to publish English language editions of its Queen’s Blade & Queen’s Blade Rebellion RPG books and Akira Suzuki’s Hyakka Ryoran Samurai Girls light novels. The initial digital releases will be distributed for free via Apple’s iBook store, Amazon’s Kindle store, and a not-yet-established official website. The books will be later printed and sold in traditional books that come with collectible figures. Hobby Japan has not yet determined a launch date for this initiative.

Gawd, I honestly can’t tell the difference between legit QB art and the hentai pics I’ve allegedly heard about from other people. ^_-
This is cool news. I wonder what the main attraction for the majority of buyers will be: the book or the figures? It will all depend on the quality of the figures, especially the price.
@GATS:
Is that a comment on the quality of the hentai pics, or the over-the-top-ness of the authentic material? Offhand, I can’t recall any legit images that don’t stop fairly well short of the content we saw in the anime, and leave the girl at least a few strategically-placed shreds of clothing protecting the last vestige of her modesty.
@kampfer:
If they’re simply a new run of pre-existing figures I’ll stick with the free digital books, because I currently have all of the Megahouse figures excepting their Queen’s Gate series. Looks like I’ll have to wait for this not-yet-established website, lacking both a Kindle and any Apple product.
Bradster: What I mean is that the legit promo pics come off pretty damn close to the unauthorized hentai cover pics in salaciousness.
