Image Entertainment Enters Anime?

DVD publisher and distributor Image Entertainment has been involved with the domestic anime industry for numerous years, first releasing domestic anime laser discs, then DVD versions of Streamline anime properties and CPM sub-licenses including Project A-ko. Image has recently entered the market with their first original license, a subtitled only widescreen DVD presentation of Hermes: Winds of Love. According to an unconfirmed rumor from Anime on DVD, Image Entertainment has licensed a “fair number” of anime titles for domestic release DVD release including several hentai titles and at least one unidentified popular but heretofore unlicensed title.
