James Cameron Not Filming Battle Angel
|After several years of discussion and delayed plans to film a live-action adaptation of Yukito Kishiro’s sci-fi/action manga Gunnm, known in America as “Battle Angel Alita,” director James Cameron told the New York Times late last month, “Last year I basically completely disbanded my production company’s development arm. So I’m not interested in developing anything. I’m in the Avatar business. Period. That’s it. I’m making Avatar 2, Avatar 3, maybe Avatar 4, and I’m not going to produce other people’s movies for them.”

daaaammmmmiiiiiiittttttttttt!!!!!!!
Bah, I just read another post that said he still had plans to film it but that it wasn’t a priority, now he isn’t going to film it at all…
Starship Troopers was fine entertainment but when they started trying to emphasis the darker aspects in part 2 and 3 it really went downhill. I hope he doesn’t ruin the Avatar series by trying to push his environmental views.
