Japanese Cinema on Sundance Channel

The Sundance Channel is celebrating Japanese cinema this month with the “Window on Japan FilmFest.” The films airing through October include Shohei Imamura’s Dr. Akagi, Mamoru Oshii’s Ghost in the Shell, Takashi Ishii’s Gonin, Sabu’s Postman Blues, and Shinya Tsukamoto’s Tokyo Fist, all contemporary examples of modern pop-art Japanese cinema.
