John’s Oddities Part II: Uni-Gundam

Recently a friend returned from a trip to Japan. He asked what I wanted as souvenirs. I asked for any anime items that are uniquely Japanese and rarely, if ever, seen outside of Japan. He surprised me with five particular items.

My friend explained that during a Uniqlo stores promotion, purchasing two t-shirts included a bonus choice of an exclusive RX-78 or Zaku Gunpla kit in “Uniqlo color.” This is, obviously, the Zaku kit in red & white rather than its traditional dark green.
