Kaguya-hime Movie Delayed

Toho has announced that director Isao Takahata’s upcoming anime film Kaguya-hime no Monogatari will be delayed from its originally planned summer release until this winter due to production delays. Studio Ghibli admitted that as of early 2013 the movie’s storyboards are not yet complete, convincing Toho to update its release plans for the film. The movie was tentatively scheduled to open on the same day as fellow Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki’s new film Kaze Tachinu. Miyazaki’s film is tentatively still scheduled for a summer release.
