Kikaider 01 Dead at 69

Actor Shunsuke Ikeda died of stomach cancer at a Chiba hospital during the early hours of June 11. He was 69.

Born as Norio Ikeda in Kawasaki in 1941, the actor made his professional debut in the early 1960s. His most famous role came in 1973, when he starred in the tokusatsu television show “Kikaider 01.” He also appeared in shows such as “Kaette Kita Ultraman” and “Himitsu Sentai Goranger.”
