Kiki US DVD Update

Sources inside Buena Vista Home Entertainment have confirmed for Nausicaa.net that there are no upcoming tentative release dates for any of the Studio Ghibli films, including Kiki’s Delivery Service, on VHS or DVD outside of Japan. The Disney home video page currently includes a listing for an English language Kiki DVD, but this is apparently an error.

Kiki’s Delivery Service has been available from Buena Vista on subtitled VHS and is still available on dubbed VHS. Laputa: The Castle in the Sky is generally expected to be the next Ghibli title to be released in North America, and Disney is believed to be considering a theatrical release. However Disney has yet to formally announce anything.
