Kobato Anime Announced

Reportedly the January 2009 issue of Newtype Magazine, which goes on sale in Japan on December 10th, will include confirmation that Madhouse is developing a TV anime adaptation of CLAMP’s current manga series Kobato. Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Chi’s Sweet Home) will direct. Hiromi Kato (Tonde Burin, Tenshi ni Narumon) will provide animation character designs. And CLAMP’s Nanase Ohkawa will compose the screenplay. The Kobato manga has been serialized in Newtype Magazine since 2006.

The NHK television network’s December 8th news update confirms the development of the Kobato anime.
