LA Times on the Future of Animation
|Los Angeles Times writer Charles Solomon has published an article entitled “Drawing on Creativity Gives Animation a Future” that discusses the persistent media rumor that American feature animation is a quickly dying form. Solomon proposes that contrary to common speculation, the American animation industry is slow but far from dead, and as more viewers look to foreign animation, including anime, American animated productions will have to emulate British and Japanese animation in creativity and originality to remain fresh and interesting.
