Live Action BGC Has a Director

Screen Daily reports that Anthony LaMolinara will direct the live action Bubblegum Crisis movie, an adaptation of ARTMIC’s popular 1987-1991 OVA series. The film is a co-production between Australia’s Arclight Films, Canada’s Wizzfilms, Infotainment China Media Company, and UK based Latec International. The film will shoot in stereoscopic 3D at China’s Hengdian World Studios beginning next May. LaMolinara was the visual effects animation director on 2002’s Spider-Man and its 2004 sequel. He also worked as an animator on 1995’s Toy Story and as lead animator for 1999’s Stuart Little.
