Live Action Ninja Kamui Movie Announced

Blood and Bones director Yoichi Sai has announced plans to helm a live action film adaptation of Sanpei Shirato’s “Kamui Gaiden” manga stories – spin off side stories from the original 1964 Kamui-den manga series. The movie will star Ken’ichi Matsuyama, the detective “L” in the live action Death Note movies. The Kamui Gaiden movie will start shooting in November for a tentative 2009 theatrical release.
