Live-Action Tokyo Tribes Movie Announced
Acclaimed Japanese director Shion Sono (Suicide Club, Himizu) has begun pre-production on a live-action feature adaptation of Santa Inoue’s gang violence manga serial Tokyo Tribe 2. Inoue’s twelve-volume Tokyo Tribe 2 manga was published from 1997 to 2005 as a sequel to his 1993 single-volume manga Tokyo Tribe. Tokyo Tribe 2 was adapted into a 13-episode anime television series by Madhouse in 2006.
