Manga Announces End of Evangelion DVD

Manga Entertainment has formally announced that Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion will be released on bilingual DVD, and subtitled and dubbed VHS on September 24th. “Comprised of two alternate episodes, which were intended by the animators at GAINAX Studios to take the place of episodes 25 & 26 of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series, the mind-blowing conclusion to the Evangelion saga is a visual tour-de-force that resolves many questions, and generates some interesting new ones. All key roles in the English language version of The End of Evangelion are reprised by the original voice-actors from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series!”

Special features of the DVD version include letterboxed image with English and Japanese 6.1 DTS-ES, 5.1 DD-EX, and 2.0 stereo audio tracks, an audio commentary track by Amanda Winn Lee (English Language Director, and voice of Rei Ayanami), voice commentary by dubbing production assistants Taliesin Jaffe & Jason C. Lee, and original Japanese trailers.
