Manga Entertainment Announcements from Anime Central

At this past weekend’s Anime Central convention Manga Entertainment announced its acquisition of translation rights to the Noein and Tokko anime TV series and the Tokyo Zombie live action movie. Tokyo Zombie will not be released in America until at least late 2007.

The Castle of Cagliostro Special Edition DVD, scheduled for release in July, will include a new digital transfer and interviews with Lupin III creator Monkey Punch and animation director Yasuo Otsuka.

Manga’s release of the Street Fighter II movie will be uncut, for the first time in America, including both the original Sony version with English dubbed voices and American music, and the unaltered Japanese version.

Manga’s distribution licenses to Angel Cop, Devilman, and Orguss 02 have expired.
