Manga is aiming for an uncut release of the Evangelion movies as a single 2 disc DVD set this fall. Manga’s priorities after the Evangelion release are on Masami Obari’s cyberpunk action TV series Virus Buster Serge, the early 90s supernatural adventure-comedy Ghost Sweeper Mikami, and the classic Astro Boy.

The next Manga catalog titles to be released on DVD will include Gunbuster (possibly with the first ever English language dub track), Black Jack (presumably the OAV series), Giant Robo and the X movie. Due to contractual obligations, most of the supplemental material contained on the Japanese Giant Robo DVDs will be left off of the American discs.

Although fan analysis of the Wings of Honneamise DVD has conclusively proven technical flaws in the mastering of the disc, Manga Entertainment has officially stated that the poor video quality is to be blamed solely on faults with the source material rather than the DVD encoding process. Therefore Manga Entertainment has no plans to institute a recall of the Wings of Honneamise DVD or remaster the disc.
