MangaNovel No More

MangaNovel.com has announced plans to cease operations on February 27, 2009. The website, 89% owned by Toshiba Corporation, launched in October 2007 offering officially authorized translations of Japanese manga and Flash animation serials in multiple languages. The site has already ceased accepting new user registrations, and stopped selling “points” used to access commerical translations. But existing users will be able to spend their remaining “points,” and free manga titles will remain accessible to all site visitors.
