Mari Iijima Happenings

Mari Iijima, the original voice of Minmei (Macross) was recently nominated for best pop artist at the 10th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards Show, which will be held at the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday, November 21st. In addition to the ceremony, she will be spending considerable time this week with guests of her official fan club. The week will be highlighted by a live concert at the Genghis Cohen club in Hollywood (740 N. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90046) on November 24 (8:15 PM), which is open (at $7 cover charge) to everyone! In more Iijima-related news, Mari has landed a small role on MTV’s brand new soap opera, “Spyder Games.”
