Matsushita Announces GameCube/DVD Player

Matsushita has announced that they will release a new DVD player model in Japan on December 14th called “Q.” The Q will be a standard NTSC Japanese Region 2 DVD player, but will also include Nintendo GameCube hardware and play GameCube games. The unit will retail for approximately $328 (US). Matsushita has not yet revealed any plans to release a version of the Q in North America.
