I have both volumes of this series in Japanese, and I must say, this is one of the cutest, most honest, and most intimate yuri series I’ve discovered.
Maka-Maka is pretty darn popular in various girls’-love circles around the net, so it’ll be interesting to see how many fans outside of the norm absorb this release, whenever it lands.
Although I agree that it’s a sweet and sometimes amusing in its eroticism (public foreplay never seemed so fun, I imagine), I think it gets a tad repetitive as it goes on. Sometimes I have wondered if Maka-Maka does more to simply appease the male psyche by pairing up to gal pals who just so happen to engage in lesbian sex, than the comic does to attempt (sometimes successfully, other times not so much) to profile the perils of twenty-something relationships.
