Media Blasters has confirmed the rumor that they had licensed Weiss Kreuz by announcing that “Knight Hunters, Weiss Kreuz, Vol. 1: Dead Ringer” will be released on dubbed and subtitled VHS, and bilingual DVD on October 30th. The first volume will contain the first 5 of 25 TV episodes. Pronounced “Vice Kreutz,” Weiss is the story of four bishounen (beautiful boys) who work as florists by day and professional assassins by night.

Also debuting on October 30th will be all three OAV episodes of Jewel BEM Hunter Lime on dubbed VHS and bilingual DVD. Based on a series of Sega Saturn adventure games created by Atsuko Nakajima, the character designer for Ranma and You’re Under Arrest, Hunter Lime is a supernatural comedy about a cute alien BEM (Bug Eyed Monster) hunter named Lime who hunts down other rogue BEMs in contemporary Tokyo.

The first 5 episodes of the 26 episode Gokudo-kun Manyuki (Gokudo-kun’s Travelogue) will also premier on dubbed VHS and bilingual DVD on October 30th under the title “Gokudo, Swordsman Extraordinaire.” Gokudo-kun will appeal especially to fans of Slayers, as much of the fantasy/adventure/comedy tone and style of the Slayers TV series are matched almost identically in Gokudo-kun.
