Media Blasters New Announcements

Putting an end to rumors that Media Blasters would not be releasing all of the Rurouni Kenshin TV series, Rurouni Kenshin: Son of God containing TV episodes 67-70 and the beginning of the “Christian Saga,” will debut on American VHS and DVD on February 19th.

Media Blasters has confirmed that three new adults only anime titles will debut in America on February 19th. De:vadasy is an impressive looking sci-fi action series from last year produced by AIC Studios. It will be available on domestic dubbed VHS and bilingual DVD. Bible Black: La Noche de Walpurgis is a very recent supernatural horror series based on a successful PC adventure game. Media Blasters has so far announced the domestic bilingual DVD release of the first 2 episodes that were released in Japan last summer. The third episode was just released in Japan on November 21st. Oni-Tensei OAV 1 will debut in the US on dubbed VHS only. 4 Oni-Tensei OAVs have been released in Japan.

And Media Blasters has announced their expansion into theatrical distribution. The first Media Blasters titles to appear in American theaters will be the HK live action films Riki-Oh (the completely uncensored home video version!) and Robotrix. With any luck, Media Blasters will also soon move into theatrical distribution of their anime licenses as well.
