Miyuki Kanbe Dead at 24

Actress and singer Miyuki Kanbe passed away on June 18th at a Kawasaki City hospital following a sudden heart failure. She was 24. Kanbe had been in poor health since February 2007.

Notable performances in her career included playing protagonist Sailor Moon in Sailor Moon stage musical productions from 2000 to 2001; Kyoko Kakei in the 2003 motion picture Battle Royale II: Requiem; Hinaka Tachibana in the Kamen Rider Hibiki television series; and singing the first two opening theme songs for the 2003 anime television series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch.
