More Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Movies Announced

The September 1st issue of Weekly Bunshun Magazine reports that a live-action film and multiple anime films based on Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series are currently in development from different studios. Reportedly a “super-popular idol” is being cast to headline the live-action film. Formal release dates for the film projects aren’t expected until next summer, at the earliest.

The Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga was adapted into two OVA series in 1993 & 2000, and a 2007 anime feature film (which has never been released on home video anywhere).
