More Non-Anime (But Still Cool) Movie News

Well, actually it may not be quite so cool that according to a report in Italian web magazine La Finestra sul Cortile, MGM executives on the set of John Woo’s currently filming Windtalkers have ordered one of the major action sequences of the film to be excised from the script to lower production costs and speed up the behind schedule shooting. Coming Attractions has posted a detailed report on the film including the full details of the movies production troubles.

The full CG Final Fantasy movie, scheduled for release next summer, has been titled Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Presumably the subtitle is being added to help distinguish the movie from the Final Fantasy games and anime OAV series.
