More on Final Fantasy TV Series

TV Tokyo has revealed that the upcoming Final Fantasy animated series will be titled “Final Fantasy: Unlimited” and will debut on Japanese television on October 2nd, airing from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.

Like the Final Fantasy: Spirits Within movie, FF: Unlimited will be set on Earth, not in any of the game worlds, and will revolve around a male and female named Wind and Lisa, respectively, who pursue something called “The Cloud” which, in typical RPG fashion, destroyed Wind’s hometown.

There’s been no word on the animation style of the show yet, but given Gonzo Studios’ previous works including Blue Sub No. 6, Vandread, Gatekeepers and Samurai Girl: Real Bout High School, it’s probably a safe bet to assume that Final Fantasy Unlimited will be cel art complimented by CG effects.
