More Otakon News from Studio Ironcat

Within the next several months, Studio Ironcat will undergo a “total reorganization,” including a possible name change. Translation and publication rights to all current titles will be retained.

New manga title acquisitions include Cool Devices (as part of the Sexy Fruit adult line), Moldiver, and Spectral Force, to be released as a joint project with ADV Films and possibly sold in a combined package with the Spectral Force anime and video game.

A major announcement was the acquisition of the original Kyuketsuki Miyu manga, known in the US as Vampire Princess Miyu, beyond the six issues originally published by Antarctic Press. There is a possibility of an “unflipped” release.

Studio Ironcat has also licensed American publication rights to the three Japanese Groundwork of Evangelion illustration books and is currently working on translating them.

There’s still no news on the Hana Yori Dango manga, but Studio Ironcat editor Kevin Bennett is still involved in negotiations with the Japanese publisher for the American translation rights.
