Nagasawa-kun Drama Announced

A live-action TV series based on creator Momoko Sakura’s 1993-1995 Chibi Maruko-chan spin-off series Nagasawa-kun will premiere on April 1. The Nagasawa-kun manga revolves around Chibi Maruko-chan supporting character Nagasawa-kun, a foul-mouthed schoolboy whose head is shaped like an onion. Sakura is personally co-writing the scripts for the TV series that 20th Century Boys movie director Yukihiko Tsutsumi & 2013 Kindaichi Shounen no Jkenbo TV special director Hisashi Kimura will co-direct. The series of five-minute episodes will air late-nights on Mondays through Thursdays.
