Nelvana’s Card Captors Translation Expense

The LA Times has recently published an article about Nelvana’s insurgence into the domestic animation market in their Calendar Live section. Nelvana has spent roughly $100,000 on each episode to incorporate new music, scripts and vocal tracks. Part of the cost is recouped by subsidies from Canada and Europe.
