Netflix Castlevania Teaser Released

Netflix has released the first trailer for its Castlevania animated series. The series is scheduled to premiere on July 7 as the first of four 30-minute “season one” episodes. Despite the “anime” aesthetic, the series is entirely American, produced by Dredd (2012) and A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) executive producer Adi Shankar, written by acclaimed comic book writer Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan, Planetary), and animated by Frederator Studios (Adventure Time). The animated series is based on Konami’s Akumajo Dracula video game franchise that launched in 1986.
