New Anime DVDs Announced

Right Stuf has announced an American release date for their translation of Masami Obari’s 4 episode giant robot action spectacle Dangaizer 3. The first DVD volume will be available on November 26 and the second will be available on January 21st. Both DVD releases will retail at $24.95 each.

Rhino Home Video will release a DVD boxed set of the first 26 American episodes of Gigantor on October 22nd for $69.95, remastered from the original 16mm negatives. Many of these episodes never appeared on VHS. Due to massive alterations from the original Japanese version, an no American license to the Japanese language version, this release is English language only. According to Absolute Anime, the American version of Tetsujin 28, broadcast on U.S. television beginning in 1966, consists of Japanese episodes 27-79.
