New Anime on Cartoon Network

A Kidscreen article online reveals that Cartoon Network will be airing The Big O and Megami Kohousei (AKA: Candidate for Goddess). The Big O is a 13 episode series commonly described as Batman: The Animated Series meets Giant Robo. Candidate For Goddess, to be titled Pilot Candidate for its American release presumably to avoid use of the term “goddess,” is a 12 episode sci-fi/action series from Xebec Studios, the creators of Nadesico. EX Magazine has published preview articles focusing on both The Big O and Megami Kohousei, featuring story overviews and images. Anime Village will be releasing both titles on home video.

It now seems clear that the Cartoon Network will be airing all 26 episodes of Outlaw Star. The Kidscreen article cites Outlaw Star as having 2 “seasons,” referring to Angel Links as the second season of Outlaw Star. There is no second season of Outlaw Star. While set in the same continuity as Outlaw Star, Angel Links is not a continuation of Outlaw Star.
