New Announcements from Capcom

Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 2 will be released this winter. The game will be twice the size of the original, include a new playable female character in addition to returning hero Dante, and feature extensive new features and game play mechanics.

Capcom has also released the first screenshots and information on its long in development “western” shooter Red Dead Revolver for the PS2. “Capcom’s new quirky game is a third-person perspective western shoot-’em-up that stars a thin, gaunt cowboy by the name of Red who shows up into town and blasts the crap of just about anything that moves. Using the old western movie High Noon and many Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns as inspirations, this unusual western shooter is not developed by Capcom, but rather by Angel Studios, makers of Midtown Madness, Midnight Club, Smuggler’s Run 1 & 2, and TransWorld Surf. Capcom is working in tandem with Angel Studios in development on the game.” The game is due out later this year.

Capcom has also announced that the fifth installment in the popular Breath of Fire RPG series will be released for the PS2 this fall.

According to The Magic Box, Capcom will be porting Marvel vs Capcom 2 to the Xbox and Playstation 2.
