Oh Lord, why? I like ResEvil, but “Degeneration” was awful.

Tell me about it. I saw it legally for free, and wanted my money back. It’s probably the one movie in the franchise which redeems Paul Anderson’s career. http://www.cityonfire.com/japanese/biohazard.html
If you judge the movie on it’s on merits it’s not very good. If you judge the movie based solely on it’s connection to the RE storyline then it’s OK, as the CGI in the movie is similar to the in-game CGI of the games and has the same voice actors as well. Maybe the new movie will make improvements over the old and just be an overall better experience. Just have to wait and see I guess.

I say that every time they release a new live-action Resident Evil movie.
Paul Anderson needs to be shot (or maybe not. Then he’d come back as a zombie hack director and make even worse garbage for Hollywood).
I seriously wish crapcom can get off the zombie shtick and do a TRUEr version of the ORIGINAL games’ story. Where we find out that a company has produced a bug that was supposed to turn humans into stronger soldiers.. or for medicinal reasons (long or infinite life) pills, but It goes terribly wrong and just turns them into skinless dark blooded rabid gorillas.
The Initial stage of the transformation is the typical ~Zombie(tm)~ junk, but that shifts over to Faster ceiling crawling beasts and lumbering fast on the strike creatures! It Never stuck to the normal slooooow walking dead guy- In fact! There really weren’t any DEAD people in ALL of the series (I,II,III,Code Veronica,IV) that I’ve played. Remember that it was called ‘BIOHAZARD’ first!
crapcom has been woo’d by the money out of Japan and wowed by the addiction to Zombie(tm) craving Americans to create those media Abominations. The dough is too good to get off the teat~
I at least have my memories of good times long past
