New Captain Harlock Movie Footage Revealed

Cinema Today has released a new three-minute trailer for Toei’s upcoming CG animated Space Pirate Captain Harlock motion picture. Yahoo Japan is also now exclusively streaming a 12-minute scene from the film. Director Shinji Aramaki’s (Appleseed) 30+ million-dollar picture is Toei’s biggest-budgeted anime film so far. The movie inspired by Leiji Matsumoto’s 1977-79 manga is an original story revolving around Yama, a young man ordered to assassinate the revolutionary warrior Captain Harlock. The movie will premiere in Japanese theaters on September 7 with a global release to follow.
