New Detail on Cartoon Network DBZ Season 6

Saiyanz Rage has learned from representatives of both Cartoon Network and FUNimation that the Cartoon Network has scaled back its original plan to broadcast 54 new episodes of Dragonball Z beginning September 16th, to 39 episodes. A 54 episode sixth season would conclude the entire Dragonball Z TV series; however current plans call for this year’s season of Dragonball Z to conclude 15 episodes short of the end of the series. The remaining 15 episodes will be broadcast on the Cartoon Network next spring.

Saiyanz Rage has also learned that FUNimation will be using letters to denote restored episodes from the first two American seasons. While the Japanese Dragonball Z TV series had 291 episodes. The American version will contain the same amount of footage in 276 episodes with some restored, extended episodes numbered, for example, 25A, 25B and 25C.
