New DLE Social Media Anime Announced

Flash animation studio DLE (Haiyoru! Nyaruani, Taka no Tsume) will produce a TV anime series tentatively titled “Yoru no Chara Studio” (Evening Character Studio) revolving around the “cynical conversations” between childhood friends. The anime will be “completely networked with social media,” and will evolve with input from viewers provided through Facebook, Twitter, and other feedback avenues. The show will air at 12:35 am Monday through Thursday starting in May.

I thought that “datsuryoku-kei” anime had run its course and died off, but I guess it’s just evolving to incorporate social media.
