Famitsu Magazine, notorious for its highly critical and exacting console game reviews, has given Final Fantasy X a score of 39 out of a possible 40 points.

Dengeki PlayStation Magazine has published the names of the main voice actors for the Japanese version of Final Fantasy X.

Tidus: Kazunari Morita (FF8 ending motion capture actor for Zell)
Yuna: Mayuko Aoki (FF8 ending motion capture actress for Rinoa)
Seymour: Junichi Suwabe (Kouji Fujiyoshi in GTO)
Lulu: Rio Natsuki (Nanami Jinnai in El Hazard, Lina in Bubblegum Crisis TV, Kanzaki Akari in Battle Athletes TV)
Kimahli: Katsumi Chou (Drug dealing bartender in Cowboy Bebop episode 1)
Auron: Hideo Ishikawa (Ryoma in Shin Getter Robo)
