New Hiroaki Samura Manga

Hiroaki Samura, the artist best known for his Blade of the Immortal manga serial, has begun a new manga story titled Ohikioshi (“moving”). Ohikioshi is a five part romantic comedy in a modern day setting. Part two of the story was just published in the Kodansha Afternoon Autumn manga magazine special. The next part is expected to premier in Kodansha Afternoon Winter. Blade of the Immortal has been reported to be in its concluding stages. Ohikioshi is the second manga story Samura has published while still working on Blade of the Immortal, and according to reports, recent installments of Blade of the Immortal have displayed a noticeable decline in the quality of less significant sequences in the manga, and fewer new characters introduced to the story.
